This gold vermeil rope chain has a lobster claw clasp and has been a very good compliment to my gold filled wire pendants.  The rope chain is a little heavier that the thin snake.

Gold vermeil is a sterling silver plated with 22K–24K gold it is not the same as regular gold plated.  If you ever need to clean gold vermeil just use a soft jewelry cleaning cloth.
